Licensing requirements:

In October 2006 the Parliament of Victoria passed the Conveyancers Act 2006. This established a new system of regulation and licensing for non-lawyer Conveyancers in Victoria. Under the Act, a person is not permitted to carry on a conveyancing business in Victoria without a Conveyancer’s Licence from the Business Licensing Authority or unless the person is an Australian Legal Practitioner for the purposes of Victoria’s Legal Profession Act 2004.
